Via Kazakhstan (China — Kazakhstan — Russia). The most popular corridor for road freight. Trucks cross the China-Kazakhstan border at Khorgos or Dostyk, then continue through Kazakhstan into Russia. Transit time from eastern China: 14-18 days to Moscow. This route works well for cargo originating from central and western China (Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xi'an). It avoids the congested Russian Far East and offers well-established border infrastructure.
Via Mongolia (China — Mongolia — Russia). A shorter geographic distance for cargo from northern China (Beijing, Tianjin, Inner Mongolia). Trucks cross at the Zamyn-Uud/Erlian border, transit through Mongolia, and enter Russia at Kyakhta. Transit time: 12-16 days to Moscow. This route is less congested but depends on seasonal road conditions in Mongolia.
Via Vladivostok (direct China-Russia border). Used for cargo destined for the Russian Far East or Siberia. Trucks cross at Suifenhe/Pogranichny or Hunchun/Kraskino and can reach Vladivostok, Khabarovsk or Novosibirsk. Transit time to Vladivostok: 3-5 days; to Novosibirsk: 8-12 days. Ideal for suppliers in northeastern China (Harbin, Shenyang, Dalian).
